Product Finish
Beeswax is our most authentic finish for steel. After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. All our Beeswax ironmongery offers a subtle matt richness and is a more natural, and far softer, alternative to a black powder coated finish. These products offer excellent internal protection when properly maintained.

Our Shropshire fastener is heated by fire then hand-hammered into a leaf-like shape using an anvil. The mild steel is then finished in our classic Pewter Patina finish. Designed to fit casement windows and to match the products in our Shropshire range. This reversible design includes a mortice plate that’s suitable for both left and right handed windows. If left untouched, this finish will oxidise over time and naturally age to create a historically beautiful look.
